Virtual Loyalty Card
How the loyalty card works
The customer visits the company website.
They complete a form with their personal details
The website generates a loyalty card with a QR code containing those details
The loyalty card can be downloaded to a computer or sent to a mobile phone
The retailer requests the loyalty card, which the customer can show on their phone
The customer joins the loyalty programme
DA.RI Srl has developed a fully virtual loyalty card stored on customers’ mobile phones or other mobile devices. By visiting the website of a retail chain, a Horeca business (hotel, restaurant or caterer), a gym or another retailer, customers can request a free digital card consisting of a personal QR (Quick Response) code. After completing a form with their details, customers can either transfer the generated image to their device themselves via Wi-Fi, cable, Bluetooth or removable storage, or choose to receive an MMS containing the card.
Customers should keep their mobile phone with them so they can access their reserved discounts and other promotions offered by participating retailers.
The virtual loyalty card is scanned using a reader integrated into or connected to the till, or a computer’s built-in webcam. Customers display the downloaded image on their phone and hold it in front of the reader for a few seconds. Once identified as loyalty programme members, the process is the same as with a physical loyalty card.
Customer retention includes marketing activities aimed at keeping existing customers, the first line of defence for any business. The best way to build loyalty is to deliver a high level of satisfaction, which in turn encourages customers to stay.
Customer loyalty is encouraged through marketing projects in which the company offers benefits, advantages or rewards. This associates the brand with positive qualities that customers remember, strengthening their relationship with the brand.
Loyalty programmes often use a loyalty card: a useful way to identify customers and a symbol of recognition and belonging.
